Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund has revealed significant insights into the events of January 6, suggesting a potential setup involving then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Sund engaged in an impactful interview with prominent news anchor Tucker Carlson.
In this conversation, Sund provides an intricate account of the occurrences within the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.
Interestingly, an entire interview between Carlson and Sund was recorded for Fox News but never aired.
One of Sund’s most concerning assertions is that Nancy Pelosi, who held the position of House Speaker at the time, disregarded his pleas to authorize the deployment of the National Guard to the Capitol.
He further discloses that federal agencies held back critical information and signals of possible threats prior to the riot.
Sund expressed his frustration: “There seems to be a lack of genuine interest in reaching the core of the matter.”
He added, “This sentiment persists,” indicating growing concerns.
Carlson responded skeptically, remarking, “To me, this appears preplanned.”
“I’m sorry, but it does,” he emphasized.
Sund concurred, stating, “There’s more to it.”
This dialogue provides essential perspectives on the January 6 events and their broader context.
Sund continued, sharing a critical moment during the crisis: “I pleaded earnestly, and he responded with, ‘I will have a discussion with the Secretary of Defense or whoever he intends to speak with.'”
“At that very moment, I received a notification that the shooting of Ashli Babbitt had occurred,” Sund recollected, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
“I shouted over the phone, ‘Shots have been fired at the U.S. Capitol. Is that sufficiently urgent now?'”
According to Sund’s account, the National Guard didn’t arrive until 6 pm, several hours after the tragic shooting of Babbitt.
Sund also alleged that the Pentagon directed resources to the residences of generals, neglecting the Capitol.
