Former President Donald Trump delivered a strong response to his indictment by Special Counsel Jack Smith, expressing his views on the matter.
Trump stated, “I appreciate your presence here today. What we are witnessing is a disgraceful and malicious abuse of power, unparalleled in the history of our nation. It is truly disheartening to observe. A corrupt incumbent president has orchestrated the arrest of his primary political opponent on false and manufactured charges, which he himself and many past presidents could easily be guilty of. This is happening right in the midst of a presidential election where he is facing a significant decline in popularity.”
“This can only be described as election interference. Furthermore, it is a politically motivated persecution reminiscent of the tactics employed by dictatorial and authoritarian regimes.”
“This day will forever be remembered as a dark stain on our history, and Joe Biden will be forever associated with not only being the most corrupt president our nation has seen, but also as the leader who, alongside a group of his closest allies, misfits, and individuals with Marxist ideologies, attempted to undermine American democracy.”
“But they will not succeed. We will prevail, stronger and more triumphant than ever before.”
“Let’s not forget that Hillary Clinton violated the law without facing indictment. Joe Biden, on the other hand, has allegedly broken the law, among other revelations we are uncovering, and has not yet been indicted.”
“I have followed all the rules, and yet they choose to indict me.”
